NANUKI

For grown-ups

Time together. Clear terms.

These terms cover Nanuki’s website and story app, including the current private test. Effective: 30 September 2026.

Who provides Nanuki

Nanuki is operated by Dharmendra Kumar Choudhary, an individual in Portugal, using the developer display name Hello Nanuki. Public address: Travessa de Santo Antonio a Graca 10, 1-D, 1170-336, Lisbon, Portugal. Email support@nanuki.co.

For adults and families

An adult must manage the account and supervise children’s use. Keep your sign-in email secure and do not share codes. Nanuki offers stories and illustrations, prepared narration where available, and optional family recordings. The app is currently in private testing; these pages do not announce a public store launch.

Free access and story availability

The current version is free, with no subscription or in-app purchase required. Prepared personalised stories allow up to two new assignments per adult account per week, subject to suitable unused stories being available. The allowance resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC. Previously assigned stories do not require another allowance to reopen.

We will explain any future paid offering before asking you to purchase it. These terms do not authorise automatic charges. Features or particular stories may not be available on every device or in every region.

Stories and personalisation

Create selects a prepared story; it does not promise a newly written work. Supported Read and Record editions use local name substitution. Nanuki narration uses original names. Pictures do not promise to depict your child, and every preference may not appear. Age and reading-time labels are guidance for the adult choosing the story.

Some content uses AI tools and editorial review. Errors can still occur. Use “This wasn’t right” to report a problem. Stories are entertainment, not medical advice or a promise of educational outcomes.

Content and your recordings

You may read, listen and use offered downloads for personal family use. This does not transfer ownership or permit commercial redistribution of Nanuki or third-party content.

You retain the rights you hold in your recordings. When you choose account backup, you permit Nanuki and its service providers to store, protect, restore and play the recording for your account and handle your support requests. This permission does not allow selling or publicly publishing your recording, cloning the voice or training an AI model. Record only people who agree, with parent/guardian permission where necessary.

Protecting important voices

Recordings are saved locally first. Cloud backup is optional and needs a verified successful upload. A new verified recording replaces the prior account copy for that story. Export important voices before replacement or deletion and keep an independent copy. Nanuki is not a guarantee of permanent archival storage.

Removing a local recording and removing an account backup are different actions. Exported copies are controlled by their destination. Account deletion removes active account data through the documented flow, with the backup and retention limits explained in our privacy policy.

Responsible use and safety

Do not access another family’s data, upload unlawful material, share recordings without permission, impersonate another person or interfere with the service. We may restrict use where necessary to protect people or the service, giving an explanation and support route where lawful and practical. Do not depend on Nanuki for emergencies.

Changes, availability and leaving

We may fix, update or withdraw content and features. Some features need an internet connection. Private-test features may change. We will give appropriate notice of material changes affecting your rights, payment or data use. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights or authorise new data uses without required consent.

You may stop using Nanuki and delete your account. Export recordings you want to preserve first. Contact support about access, accessibility, content or technical problems.

Your legal protections

Portuguese law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply in your country of habitual residence. Nothing requires you to give up a right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law, or to use private arbitration. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not limit your statutory consumer or data-protection rights.

The privacy policy explains data use separately. We will identify the effective date of changes and notify you appropriately of material revisions.
